The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (2023), Bharatiya Historic initiatives
Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (2023), and Bharatiya and decisions
Sakshya Adhiniyam (2023) were notified in the
Gazette of India on December 25, 2023. Under the
Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (effective from July 1, 2024),
75 lakh FIRs have been registered and chargesheets
filed in approximately 60 lakh cases by June 2026;
the rate of chargesheet compliance in sexual offense
cases nearly doubled compared to 2018.
